Since 1973, 115 people in 25 states have been released from death row with evidence of their innocence.

There have been four exonerations [innocent people FREED from death row] in Ohio: Gary Beeman 1979, Dale Johnston 1990, Timothy Howard 2003 and Gary Lamar James 2003. One wonders how many innocent people are sitting on Ohio’s death row awaiting justice.

Cases to follow include: Kenney Richey currently in Federal 6th Circuit and Joe D’Ambrosio before US District Court in Clevelend. Each could end up with a new trial based on evidence of innocence.

Good Work!
Sadly, Joe's story is all too common. Too many good men are wasting away... stopping bad justice is left up to a few fearless and tireless souls on the outside that never give up.

You are doing a great job here - keep your eyes, ears, and heart wide, and the path will rise up to meet you... there are countless resources online that can help you find the next step.

Just Remember,
"To the World,
You are But One Person;
But to One Person,
You are the World."

Please pass along to Joe the best wishes of myself and my American husband, Darren Koehn, (who is wrongly serving life in Canada), and tell him to hang in there, and never give up.

I saw Joe's story on Discovery Channel 5/19/2007 & am appalled at the travesty of justice this young man has suffered at the hand of Carmen Marino & others involved in this case! Maybe you should try to get a petition started, if his new attorney's think that would help. What is the outcome of the evidentiary hearing from last year?
Best wishes, Lyn Heuring

I can't believe that Joe still hasn't had a retrial.If anyone knows anything new would be great to know.It's absolutely awful that an obviously innocent man is still on death row.Any way i could help?unfortunately i havn't got the money to help with a good lawyer but anything else?

hi, i've just seen the documentary on discovery channel. i was wondering what happened to the man since 2005, when the film was made and it's sad to see he's still in jail for something he didn't do. i've watched most of the episodes of the "guilty or innocent" series and there where some cases in which things were not that obvious in favor of the accused one. for me, Joe is innocent, i strongly believe that, the evidence suggest this so strongly, that i can't imagine how can a system screw up like that... i wish you the best of luck in your fight, be strong Joe, all the best from Romania to you!
